摘要

An onboard antenna for microwave power transmission needs an ultra-large aperture area in order to realize small foot print for a rectenna. In Reference System in USA, an antenna with 1km diameter was proposed. Such an antenna may be constituted in the following schemes: (1) Dipole array antenna (2) Aperture array antenna (3) Single reflector. The last scheme is impractical because of a large height of 300m at least, and because of the difficulty to adjust radiation characteristics. In this paper, we propose the schemes (1) and (2) depending on applications. And novel methods are studied to reduce the number of driven elements in the scheme (1). Eventually the cost is much reduced by simplifying the feeding circuit. The other methods are presented to bury the gap between the element apertures in the scheme (2) by installing parasitic elements. Finally, the schemes (1) and (2) will be compared on application basis.
