Ordinary steel-concrete composite beams have following herits: large carrying capacity, small deformation, convenience in construction, beauty and economy. After tendons in ordinary composite beams are prestressed, then prestressed steel-concrete composite beams are formed. After systematically consulting correlative research accomplishments in latest 20 years, we found that research on seismic performance is almost blank. Consequently, it is theoretically and practically significant to carry out research on seismic performance of prestressed steel-concrete composite beams and frames with composite beams. It is the first time that seismic performance of prestressed composite beams and frame with prestressed composite beams are studied systematically at home and abroad in this paper.
