摘要

Several methods to characterise the special detonation / reaction behaviour of fuel-rich oxygen-deficient explosives are presented. These charges need additional oxygen from the surrounding air to combust the fuel. Pressure measurements inside a detonation facility show a primary shock wave followed by a quasi-static pressure build up which is decisive for the performance. Based on thermodynamic calculations TNT and two blast enhanced explosives have been selected to demonstrate exemplarily measurement and evaluation capabilities applied to detonation chamber experiments and free field experiments with focus on the combustion phase. That comprises e.g. thermodynamic calculations, pressure and temperature measurements, emission spectroscopic investigations and Background Oriented Schlieren (BOS) methods.
