This research shows the potential of high-pressurized heat recovery steam generator (HPHRSG) in modernization of energy units in Russia. The arguments for choosing gas and steam turbines for investigations are shown. The results of preliminary study in comparison with common combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) energy unit (SGU-220, MOSENERGO TPP-12) and classical energy unit with steam boiler TGM-96 are demonstrated. The results of research have shown that HPHRSG have 2-5 times less specific quantity of metal comparing with a classical boilers or common HRSG.
