Galileo's sponsors propose to loft a 30-satelliteconstellation in 2008. Galileo is based on a constellationof satellites and ground stations providing informationconcerning the positioning of users in many sectors suchas transport, social services, the justice system andcustoms services, public works, search and rescuesystems, or leisure with GPS.Advent of the new European satellite positioningsystem, Galileo and new modernized GPS will result indevelopment of various type of new satellite receiverssuch as, GPS/Galileo dual mode receiver, GPS L1CA/L2C receiver, GPS/Galileo L1 BOC(1,1) receiver, etc.Furthermore, a new GNSS satellite receiver would berequired to be self-reconfigured to certain navigationalenvironments like, indoor, high interference, integrity, etc.In this paper, design and implementation issue of aFPGA based flexible GNSS receiver which getsnavigation solution using L1 band signals of GPS andGalileo simultaneously is addressed.
