Hybrid and quality breeding have become at present as the main objects in Brassica napus. In this study, we intended to investigate the genetic variance among accessions developed from hybrid and quality breeding by random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD). Fifty-six accessions were used and one hundred and ninety polymorphic bands were scored with 21 strictly selected PCR primers. One UPGMA dendrogram was drawn based on RAPDs. A strict consensus tree was produced. Principal component analysis (PCA) was also done to identify correlation of the accessions. The construction of genetic variance using cluster analysis and principal component analysis revealed that RAPDs were suitable for detecting genetic relationships among our accessions. Large genetic variances were observed among our accessions. However, restorer lines and CMS lines, from them elite hybrids were bred, were clustered, respectively. This indicated that genetic improvement should be done in order to develop hybrids with high potential.
