Highly utilized linear motors need besides high values of current sheet and flux density of the fundamental waves excellent winding factors and a small force ripple.This leads to the inverse problem of multi phase winding design to find a winding topology with good current sheet space harmonice spectrum topology with good current sheet spaxe harmonics spectrum(strong usdefu current sheet wave and weak unwanted current sheet waves).For a given slot and current phase number this is usually solved by heuristic methods.Based on Foruier Analysis of current sheet distribution,this paper presents a deterministic Method to solve this inverse problem by solving two overdetermined linear equation systems.Theresulting winding can be realized using converntinal coils with unified coil width and is suitable for machines with equally distributed slots.Depending on the given current phase number,the winding may be of multilayer type(more than 2 layers)and contain coils with different number of turns.
