摘要

In this paper, phosphorus salt intercalated and amino silane grafted montmorillonite (K-H-OMMT) was prepared and then incorporated into Polystyrene-b-(ethylene-co-butylene)-b-styrene (SEBS) and intumescent flame retardant (IFR) composite via melt mixing process.With improved Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) and UL-94 grade, the flame retardant effect of K-H-OMMT on SEBS/IFR composites was discussed by exploring the char layer structure.After modified by amino silane, the K-H-OMMT can promote the expansion process of IFR, generating dense and complete char residual.Synergistic flame retarding effects were produced by using K-H-OMMT and IFR together for SEBS.
