This paper presents a digital controller design for battery charger testing platform. Test platform was consisted of three main component: programmable DC power supply, programmable DC load, and human machine interface (HMI). The HMI was designed and realized using LabVIEW, the graphical software development system from National Instruments (NI). Testing parameters and conditions for battery charging and discharging can be loaded from the HMI program. The developed system provides multiple functions including simulation and operation of multi-level power management, data acquisition, measurement and calculation. Experimental results are shown to verify the feasibility of the battery charger testing system.
