Mechanical switch has the characteristics of high current capability and high reliability, so a hybrid ground-switching auto-passing neutral section system based on high-speed vacuum circuit breaker and power electronic devices is designed in this paper. Different phase controlled schemes are formulated for different directions, so as to achieve smoothing and being powered in the switching process. The basic principle of suppression of inrush current for switching-in transformer is analyzed. Based on the analysis of remnant flux and saturation flux of main transformer, the influences of the closing time scatter and the pre-strike on inrush current are presented. The closing windows of circuit breakers are obtained, which presents more redundancy among the phase control switching process. The model of traction power grid and CRH5 locomotive are established by MATLAB simulation software in this paper. The transient process of the traction power supply system and the switch system is simulated.
