A resonance technique for starting synchronous motors with electromagnetic reduction of the rotational speed (SMER) is proposed. To increase the use of the work volume of these motors, the design of a synchronous motor with electromagnetic reduction of rotational speed and an internal resonance stage (SMER-RS) has been developed, and its operation at the level of operating principle has been considered. SMER-RS combines two machines - an asynchronous motor and a synchronous motor. Moreover, both synchronous and asynchronous torques are formed by the same windings.
