Improved Method of Seismic Data Processing for Exploring Offshore Oil/Gas Field in the South China Sea

This paper mainly introduces a procedure to improve seismic dataprocessing method for offshore oil and gas field exploration in theSouth China Sea. It includes not only researches on the marine seismicexploration system of large-scale multi-channel synchronousacquisition but also application of AVO (Amplitude Versus Offset)prediction method in seismic data processing. Firstly, this paperdiscusses a new method based on AVO prediction method to attenuatenear-offset and residual multiples. Secondly, to achieve highperformance of data acquisition synchronously, techniques of highprecise clock distribution, real time propagation delay compensationalgorithm implemented in FPGA hardware chip and high efficientsystem control protocol are designed. The propagation delaydiscrepancy of each digitizing module can eliminated automaticallywith the help of this method, and the whole system can achieve goodperformance of synchronization, real-time processing and reliability.
