Three formation models are applied to test hydraulic fracture patternsof shale gas reservoirs. To consider complex natural fractures in shalegas formation, rate and pressure functions are calculated based on dualporosity, dual permeability and stimulated reservoir volume (SRV)models for various reservoir types. Type curves from the numericalsimulations provide various flow regimes in log-log plots ofdimensionless rate and pressure functions versus dimensionlessmaterial balance time. Type curve matching technique is applied usingset of type curves generated from simulations and synthetic rate data inshale gas model. This study provides shale gas production pattern of ahydraulically fractured horizontal well.
