The improved burst mode in the stand-by condition of switching mode power supply

IN these days, reducing standby power losses attracts a lot of attentions for Switching Mode Power Supply (SMPS) due to global energy shortage. In this paper, behaviors and limitations of existing burst mode solution for reducing standby power is reviewed, and then one new technique is proposed to make sure entering burst mode power and leaving burst mode power to be same for high & low AC line condition.
