The Scratches of Girds for CRT Electron Gun Improvement

摘要

The CRT high voltage performance is highly related to the cleanliness of electron gun and also the surface condition of the grids. In mount assembly process, the grid's spacing were control by spacers. For spacer pulling process, the contact surface between spacers and grids may caused scratches. In this paper, a method is presented for the elimination of grid scratches by changing the spacer's design which totally eliminate the friction between spacers and grids. From the experiment of using new designed spacer, no scratches were found on grid's surface.
