Light Transmitting and Self Cleansing Concrete as a Smart Building Material-a Review

The rapid growth of population has led to bigger and denser building infrastructure and as a result the energy consumption due to the interior lights is getting higher. To achieve an efficient way for saving energy, the existing concrete blocks can be replaced with a transparent concrete blocks using plastic optical fibers (POF) as the material is energy saving construction material and environment friendly as well.
