This study represents some initial observations of the design of a Substrate Integrated Waveguide based Slotted Array Antenna using the concept of dual longitudinal slots to induce multiple closely spaced resonances. The simulated two element linear array exhibits enhanced Impedance Bandwidth characteristics of greater than 10% at a return loss of -15 decibels when compared to conventional single slotted design technique. A stable linearly polarized radiation pattern bandwidth of over 12% is also obtained with low side lobe levels & a very good cross polar isolation of around 30 decibels at the target frequency of 9.6GHz.
