Hybrid control system is considered, the system consists of a maximal rapid response algorithm (MRA), a PID-module and an autotuning module (ATC). The ATC is used for obtaining and periodical renovation of the plant model used for the PID tuning and MRA switching curve calculation (the transport delay of the plant is taken into consideration by means of a prediction module). When the set point changes the MRA module works, when the transient process is over, the PID module begins to work in order to stabilize the process value under the influence of various disturbances. The efficiency of the system for plants with the time delay is analyzed, some ways of self-oscillations removing are also analyzed. The advantages of the MRA system without the control action reverse are shown, some recommendations for the prediction module operation are given.
