This study propose a new approach to packing different-sized circles into given constrained areas. The constrained areas can be variable; i.e. either rectangular or circular, and the shapes and sizes are changeable. To solve the problem, a new approach method which mimics human shake actions is adopted. To obtain effective vibration to move the circles in the given container, the vibration is given according to Lissajous's figures. The parameters of the figures are tuned using Evolutionary Programming (EP) technique. In the paper, some simulation-basis experiments are carried out, and applicability of the proposed methodology is shown. The experimental results show adaptive characteristics of the proposed approach.
