摘要

Prologue:The Wetland Context In 2005 the results of the 5-year Millennium Ecosystem Assessment were published (MA 2005).This global assessment covered all ecosystems,but,recognising the ecological and economic importance of wetlands and the pressures they face,a separate synthesis was published for wetland ecosystems.That synthesis noted more than 50％ of wetland ecosystems have been destroyed or degraded during the twentieth century,and many others continue to be degraded.
