An automatic programming system for SelectivernLaser Sintering (SLS) of rapid prototyping is described inrndetail. With the aid of Visual C++ and development kit ofrnObjectARX in MDT, the interior information of 2Drncontours is extracted from the model built in AutoCADrn(or MDT) by data processing, and the information isrnconverted to laser scanning data, and subsequently the NCrncodes for SLS-based process are generated. For thernconvenience of expansion and transplantation of thernsystem, the modular structure is used in the process ofrndesigning the system.
