摘要

A new three-variable simulation model is developed to describe transient heat and mass transfer in porous media. Different independent variables are used in the wet and dry zone. In the wet zone the independent variables are T (temperature), 5 (wet saturation) and Pa (air pressure), in the dry zone the independent variables are T, Pa and Pv (vapor pressure). The model was used to simulate a heated 2-D cylindrical object buried in a sealed porous media. The results include the phenomenon of wet zone converted to dry zone as well as that of dry zone converted to wet zone. In the beginning, water transfers from high temperature zone to low temperature zone. After some time, water transfers from low temperature zone to high temperature zone. Moreover, the influence of the gas phase pressure on the overall heat and mass transfer process can also be evaluated.
