Power line communication plays an important role in no-new-wiring data acquisition applications. The data link of power line communication network with a large scale of digital HID ballasts communication nodes is liable to be destroyed because of the dynamic and special channel properties. The reasons that lead to the failure of data link, corresponding methods to enhance the reliability of the network are investigated, and the data acquisition network base on power line communication utilizing dynamic reconfiguration algorithm in MAC layer is studied. According to the study results, based on undirected-graph breadth-first search and Binary search, a fast reconfiguration algorithm suitable to novel data acquisition network is proposed to enhance the reliability of data link with simplifying the multi-point channel access by the collision-free mode. The algorithm rules and development procedure interested to practical engineering are also discussed and compared with polling system experimentally in a same digital ballast data acquisition and control network.
