In order to increase the transmission capability of high-speed data collector and provide an optimized system intended for rugged applications to fulfill the requirement of advanced instrument system, a CPCI implement, which uses PLX 9054 interface chip to act as data channel for radar signal processing system to pass the data to personal computer system, is proposed in this paper. The system consists of four main components that radar signal sampling, digital signal processors array, CPCI interface, control signal generator. PLX9054 chip is a most advanced general-purpose bus master device available. A FIFO chip IDT27V275 acts as the local buffer ram to increase the transfer speed of the interface. A convenient driver makes the system more available for the consumer. The Windows Driver Model (WDM) provides a flexible reference framework for device drivers in two operating systems-Windows 98 and Windows 2000, which can simplify the development of driver, support new hardware. This paper adopts the framework to enhance the stability of the system. Experimental results indicate that the system can run smoothly on the industry computer and the peak of throughput with industrial personal computer can reach 100MB/s. It is efficacious for all industry and military applications.
