A virtual angulometer with USB interface

摘要

A virtual angulometer with USB interface composed of two photoelectric rotary encoders, a circuit for signal processing, a circuit of interface and a virtual panel, can be used to measure angular displacement and velocity, and angular acceleration with relevant software. The resolution of the instrument equals 360°/4N, where, 'N' means the number of graduation lines on the graduated disc of photoelectric encoder. Compared with traditional desk instrument, this instrument dispenses with many component parts such as instrument box, panel, display circuit etc. The instrument developed by authors is a successful example to make instrument intelligent and integral. Experiments proved that the virtual instrument has merits, such as being compact in design, easy to connected to PC, and powerful computing and graphical interface.
