New Reference Line Synthesis for Intra Prediction in Video Coding

摘要

This paper proposed to synthesize another referenceline using multiple lines in the neighboring blocks forintra prediction, and the proposed method was simulatedon top of JEM 3.0 only for Luma component.Basically, averaged 0.29% BD reduction was achievedin the condition of All-Intra with averaged 75% runningtime increase in encoder side, and there is no runningtime increase in decoder side. In the near future, weare planing to reduce the running time of encoder andenhance the coding performance.
