摘要

Painting is an important process in automobile manufacturernand it has many steps. It consumes considerable energy. Itrnalso creates environmental impacts such as emission ofrngreenhouse gas and Sox caused in the fossil fuelrncombustion process. A heat exchanger network (HEN) isrnadded to the process in order to utilize the exhaust heat.rnThus energy utilization efficiency is improved. Consideringrnthe capital cost of heat exchanger network and operationrncost, there exists a best structure which can reach the bestrneconomic improvement of the painting process. With lessrnnatural gas input in ovens, the lower temperature of exhaustrngas, the environmental impact will also be improved. Inrnorder to obtain the best heat exchanger network structure. Arnmathematical model is set up to describe the energy use andrnits economic status in the process. With the goal of mostrneconomic heat exchanger network structure, geneticrnalgorithm is used to solve the optimisation design. The resultrnshows that the installation of heat exchanger network willrnreach an economic and environmental improvement of thernautomobile manufacture process.
