Technology of oiled waste water processing is very problematic because of specific characteristics of oil pollutants, particularly their structure. However, experimental investigations confirmed that electroflotation can be both efficient and economical method of processing. For each type of oil pollutant, optimal parameters of electroflotation should be investigated separately. As the experimental results show, electrode current density has decisive influence on quality of aeration, as a basic parameter of flotation. Current density is defined by a ratio between anodal and cathodal current intensity and respective electrods surfaces. On the other hand, the quantity of generated gas and quality of bubbles would depend on current intensity. In this paper, the results obtained by processing waste water from thermo-power station are presented. Influence of the electrode current density on quantity of produced gas bubbles and degree of removed oil pollutants, depending on distance between parallel electrodes, is analyzed.
