The Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) Centerrncoordinates and helps to facilitate both regional and nationalrnstudent ROV competitions. The Center partners with industryrnand professional societies to create and support these events,rnwhich challenge students to develop technical, problemsolving,rnand teamwork skills, and benefit the marinerncommunity by preparing students to meet work force needs.
