Abstract: The fast objective method for predicting the MTF and MRTD for focal plane array (FPA) systems is presented. The practical method by which the MTF and objective MRTD are obtained is discussed and predictions compared with results from an InSb FPA imager. Applications of the technique for the assessment of both scanned and FPA IR systems are considered. !4
