Three Dimensions of the Current Digital Platform

This article focuses on analyzing three dimensions of the current digital platform: its technology foundations, a spectrum of usage enabled by the dominant technologies, and impacts or consequences associated with the efforts in exploiting the technologies. It concludes that many changes in e-business arena are tied to the shift of production platforms, and many activities are reshuffled on the hurricanes of interconnectivity, intelligence and virtuality.
