摘要

This study attempts to investigate the present indoor air quality (IAQ) of the four hot spring hotels in Guangdong,China. Air pollutants measured in this study including radon (222Rn), respirable suspended particulate matter (PM10 and PM2s), carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2). The results indicate that the 24-h average levels of CO2 and PM10 in the hotel rooms investigated were 89% and 67% higher than the present IAQ standard of China. CO2 and PM10 levels were usually higher indoors than outdoors because of the tourists' activities and insufficient ventilation. When there was hot spring water bathing in the baths, average radon levels were 144%~416% higher in the hotel rooms and 451%~1172% higher in the baths compared to the corresponding average levels when there was no spring water use. The indoor radon concentrations were related to radonconcentration in spring water and the bathing time.
