摘要

During production process of the medical fabrics, a low level of airborne microorganisms should be kept to minimize their possible contamination. The aim of this study was to evaluate a microbial contamination in surgical drape and coat factory as a result of improper design of ventilation system. The microbial indoor air quality was evaluated based on quantitative and qualitative characteristics of bacterial and fungal flora in the air and on the table and floor surfaces. The obtained results showed that an improper construction of the air exhaust and changes in humidity conditions in the studied room can result in an increase of bacterial aerosol concentration compared to the same room with correct ventilation exhaust built. The construction correctness of the whole air-conditioning system including the corridors of the air dissemination within the medical manufacturing facilities is a conditio sine qua non warranting the necessary microbial air and surface quality.
