The Forward-Reserve Problem with Seasonal Demand

This paper presents a mathematical model for a variant of the well-known forward reserve problem. Wernconsider the case in which demand for items changes over time which can result in products beingrnincorrectly slotted within the warehouse. Our model considers the tradeoff between picking costs of itemsrnand the cost of re-allocating products to a different area as demand changes across multiple periods within arnplanning horizon.
