EXPERIENCES WITH INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS OF SOFT COMPUTING AND HYBRID AI APPROACHES TO PROCESS MONITORING

摘要

The application of hybrid uses of conventional and soft computing methods to the diagnostics and operation of industrial plants and their components, is an area that has great potential for exploitation. In this paper the benefits of combining the use of these methods are illustrated in several applications. First, three process monitoring applications are described, the approaches are then compared with each other and finally the application results are reported and briefly discussed.
