摘要

Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) realizes the importance of an energy storage system that will be increased in the power distribution system. There are many benefits such as emergency power backup, reduction of load maximum, reduces the volatility of various types of alternative sources.Likewise, higher electricity consumption, it would certainly affect the MEA. This article discusses one of the important factors that affect the power system. That is the increasing of using electric vehicles (Electric Vehicle).Currently, the using of electric vehicles is likely to be higher. This has a direct impact on the electricity system of the MEA. Therefore, the using of energy storage in the power distribution system is one way to manage the energy (energy management) in the MEA electrical system.However, the application of energy storage system in the field of energy management is only the beginning. If the energy management is using in a good way, the electricity distribution system in various areas of the MEA will be in a good way too.
