摘要

This paper shows a low-power, wireless and non invasive sensor system for the monitoring of athletic performances. This sensor will allow, for the first time, the evaluation of the anaerobic threshold analyzing only samples of saliva and exhaled breath in order to examine athletic performances with a non-invasive technique.The anaerobic threshold represents the capacity of the athlete to perform an extended exercise. This threshold is characterized by a massive activation of the anaerobic mechanism with the sudden production increase of carbon dioxide, respiratory acts and lactate level. These three figures are detectable by the presented sensor system.
