摘要

This work reports a novel technique 3D thermoacoustic imaging based on sparse measurements. Various applications have been developed for thermoacoustic imaging, especially in biomedical engineering. Reducing the necessary measurements in experiments is highly desired for almost all kinds of related applications. Thermoacoustic imaging based on sparse measurements is proposed to image complicated samples in 3D scenario with much less measurements than traditionally needed. Numerical modeling study is done to investigate complicated samples and the results show that only dozens of acoustic detectors are enough to reconstruct good images.
