Contrast-enhanced Thermoacoustic Imaging for Breast Tumor Detection with Sparse Measurements

摘要

This work reports detection of breast tumors using sparse measurements based on contrast-enhanced thermoacoustic imaging. Results show that only nine acoustic sensors are capable of reconstructing an thermoacoustic image with the breast tumor clearly distinguishable. This technique can help to advance time-efficient detection and diagnosis of breast cancers.
