In the current research works, the AC microgrids (AC-MGs) are usually considered as balanced. Actually, it is commonly unbalanced due to the penetration of single-phase distributed generators (SDGs) and loads. This will result in unbalanced output phase powers, which in turn affects the MG loadability and system operation reliability. In this paper, an event-triggered dynamic power flow routing approach is proposed to navigate the power flow among phases of the single-/three-phase AC MGs to balance the phase powers of the DG with the help of the interlinking converters (ICs) connecting the AC and DC MGs. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the proposed control method.
