摘要

The main objective of this paper is to study and analyze the Stator Winding Inter-Turn Fault (SWITF) of an induction motor based on autotransformer approach. The behavior of stator current and fault loop current can be clearly explained during SWITF at different fault severities and operating conditions by using this method. In addition, an novel indicator is proposed for SWITF for early fault detection. In order to validate this theoretical approach, an induction motor model with SWITF using dq model is developed. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the analysis based on autotransformer approach.
