Future electrical power systems shall be capable of integrating a large number of distributed energy resources (DERs) and construction and operation of HVDC power transmission project. These changes are transforming the system dynamic characteristics, resulting in new stability and reliability issues of power systems. One of the major issues is the sub-synchronous oscillation (SSO) caused by inter-harmonics associated with inverter-based renewable power generators (IRPG). Meanwhile, it presents the requirements for measuring harmonics and inter-harmonics to ensure power quality in the distribution network. These changes have made the new demand for the construction of the advanced monitoring system. In this article, an advance communication method is introduced for transmission of synchrophasor data.
