Abstract: Theory of the resonant hyper-Raman scattering (RHRS) of light by the longitudinal optical phonons in semiconductors is developed. It was shown that the forbidden scattering mechanisms can result in features of the RHRS intensity frequency dependence under resonant conditions.!12
