We report that the characteristics of GAFCHROMIC MD-55 Dosimetry films on the irradiation of electron beam. In the experiment, electron beam was exposed to MD-55 film with the energy of 4,6,8 and 12 MeV for the absorbed dose range 0.5-60 Gy. In order to estimate the irradiated dose of MD-55, we used flatbed image scanner to take the digital data of MD-55, and examined the correlation between the pixel value and its irradiated dose. Consequently, any incident energy dependence is not observed in the optical density, and also no significant difference is observed between the case of electron beam irradiation and that of 6MV X-ray irradiation. After the comparison of the pixel value to the optical density, it is obvious that both values have a clear correlation, and the pixel value is useful in the estimation of irradiated dose.
