The New Characteristics of Map Publishing Technology Companied With the Occurrence of Digital Map and GIS

摘要

In this paper, the concepts and status of digital map and GIS are discussed, and some new characteristics companied with the occurrence of the digital map and GIS are analyzed. Meanwhile some important changes of map publishing technology are discussed, such as the digitalization in publishing process, the application of multimedia technology in publishing, the real-time of the guarantee of production, the cross-platform of publishing system, the application of network in information conveying, and the integration of quality management and so on. Finally this paper analyzes the profound effect of various changes on the publishing technology, and points out the present technical problems in map publishing and at the solutions to these problems.
