In this paper we present a novel project which aims at designing and implementing new teaching environments to support the creation and supply of WBT (Web Based Training) products based on distributed multimedia system technology, to provide both non-real-time (asynchronous) and real-time (synchronous) distance learning models. The system will improve the teaching services offered and adapt them to the requirements of the users (students).
