At the Kimcheon Lot, among the 1 1st st phase Kyungbu High-speed Railway (Seoul-Daegu) that isrnscheduled to be completed in 2004, there is an intersection with the Kyungbu Highway. Thernintersection was originally designed using Concrete frame structures on the bottom and PC Boxesrnabove installed using by the MSS construction method. However an alternative solution had to bernconsidered due to structural problems and congestion of the highway traffic during construction. Asrna result, an alternative design of 125m arch bridge employing a rotational installation method wasrnsuggested by the construction company. The 125m arch bridge was used on a high speed railwayrnproject for the first time in Korea and the elegant structure with the Korean celadon color has beenrnbuilt as a typical and nature friendly monument.
