Sustainable Bridge Design in Germany

摘要

In the past decades much progress has been made in Germany in the field of sustainable bridgerndesign due to limited natural und financial resources. In 2011 a new regulation for thernrecalculation of highway bridges, the so called “Nachrechnungsrichtlinie”, was enforced, whichrnaccurately defines the steps to be achieved and includes sustainable aspects. The basis of the newrnregulation is a three block strategy. It starts with calculations of the structure taking into accountrnthe results of the former bridge investigations and all available data, continues with a feasibilityrnstudy and ends with a cost-efficiency study. This procedure leads to sustainable bridge design inrnGermany.
