摘要

The deposit of suspended sediment transported within the unitary sewer systems during rainy events often conditions the design of the storm-water tanks. For a better understanding of the transport and sediment deposit phenomena in these works, we propose a 3D flow modelling. The purpose of this study is to model the flow of the material transported in suspension and fitting to settle at the basin's bottom. For this, the VOF (Volume Of Fluid) method and the RSM (Reynolds Stress Model) model of turbulence were used. The CFD code used is FLUENT~R. The results obtained are compared with those given by experiments. For that, we used the Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) instrumentation.
