URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT: ISSUES, CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

With an introduction of global facts and figures on urbanization and associated water problems, issues that hinder adequate and effective urban water management are identified. Financial and institutional considerations, operational consideration, public-private partnership, technology and information management, capacity building and human resources development, and community participation are some of the key elements identified to address the present and future challenges for sustainable urban water management.
